e-maktab offers five distinct user roles, each designed with specific access levels and responsibilities:
-
Admin
-
Manager
-
Supervisor
-
Teacher
-
Viewer
1. Admin
The Admin role has full access to the entire system, including:
-
All features and modules
-
Account and system settings
-
User management
-
Integrations and reporting
Admins have unrestricted control over data, configurations, and permissions across the platform.
2. Manager
The Manager role is similar to Admin, with a few limitations. Managers can:
-
Access most features, including students, parents, staff, attendance, incidents, and reports
-
Create and manage users (except Admins)
-
Oversee day-to-day operations
However, Managers do not have access to:
-
System integrations
-
Account-level settings (e.g., subscription, billing)
3. Supervisor
Supervisors are granted access based on their assigned type (e.g., Payment Schedule, Attendance Oversight, etc.). When creating a Supervisor, you must assign a relevant type to define their scope.
Key permissions include:
-
Access to students, parents, and classrooms associated with the assigned type
-
Ability to view most areas of the system
-
Limited editing rights:
-
Can only edit or delete records they created themselves
-
Cannot modify or remove records created by others
-
This role is ideal for finance staff, heads of departments, or level coordinators.
4. Teacher
Teachers have access to students based on classroom assignments. Their permissions include:
-
Viewing students in their assigned classrooms
-
Viewing associated parents
-
Logging attendance
-
Recording incidents
π You can assign teachers to multiple classrooms if they teach across different groups. Once assigned, theyβll automatically have access to all students and related data for those classes.
5. Viewer
The Viewer role provides read-only access across the entire platform. Users with this role can:
-
Browse all areas of the system
-
View student, parent, and staff data
-
Access reports and analytics
However, they cannot create, edit, or delete any records. This role is ideal for governors, auditors, or other stakeholders who require visibility without modification rights.
