The Teacher Kiosk feature provides a quick and simple way for teachers to clock in and clock out. With a single tap, each teacher's attendance is recorded instantly, creating an accurate daily timesheet without the need for manual entry.
The Kiosk can run on any device with an internet connection, including tablets, iPads, laptops, desktop computers or touchscreen displays. No specialist hardware is required, allowing you to use existing devices already available at your Maktab.
This is an add-on feature. Once enabled this will automate the timesheet logging so teachers will not require to manually submit their daily/weekly entries. All timesheet submitted via Kiosk will automatically be approved so admins will not require to manually approve. To enable this please contact e-maktab.
Setting Up the Teacher Kiosk
To use the Teacher Kiosk, an administrator must first create a dedicated Kiosk user account. This account should only be used for the Kiosk device.
Once the Kiosk user is logged in, simply leave the device on the Kiosk screen so teachers can clock in and out throughout the day.
Tip: For the best experience, mount a tablet or iPad in a convenient location such as the staff room or reception area.
Today's Logs
The Today's Logs tab displays all teachers who are scheduled to work that day.
From this screen, administrators can:
- View each teacher's current attendance status.
- See whether a teacher has clocked in, clocked out, or not yet arrived.
- Enable or disable teachers from appearing on the Kiosk by marking them as Active.
- Record a teacher as Absent if they are not attending that day.
Note: Teachers are not displayed on the Kiosk by default. An administrator must first mark them as Active before they become visible on the Kiosk.
Logs
The Logs tab provides a complete overview of all clock-in and clock-out activity for the selected day.
It includes:
- Clock-in and clock-out times for every teacher.
- Total hours worked.
- Number of teachers who have:
- Clocked in
- Clocked out
- Not yet arrived
- Overall hours worked across all teachers for the day.
This provides administrators with a quick snapshot of daily staff attendance.
Attendance Register
The Attendance Register provides a monthly view of each teacher's attendance.
The register shows:
- Present and absent days.
- Clock-in and clock-out records.
- Total hours worked during the month.
- Attendance only on the days the teacher is scheduled to work.
This makes it easy to review attendance history, monitor working hours, and identify any missed shifts or absences.
