SMS

We have now enabled the ability to send SMS in e-maktab. This feature is enabled upon request and has an additional cost. 

Currently, we offer the following packages:

• 300 SMS per month for additional £15
• 500 SMS per month for additional £20
• 750 SMS per month for additional £25

Each month you will be allowed to send x amount of SMS based on the package you go for.

What will you get:

You will get a custom SMS sender name or number (only for sending SMS not receiving).

History of all SMS sent and who sent them.

Ability to send SMS to multiple parents.

Ability to send SMS to teachers. 

What to expect in the near future:

Currently, the SMS feature is new in e-maktab and we are still trying to understand how maktab/madrashas will use this feature and how many SMS are they likely to send. Once we have more information on the numbers and cost, e-maktab will add the following:

• Auto sending SMS for payment reminders
• Auto sending SMS for payment confirmation
• Auto sending SMS on a student being marked as absent
