The Waitlist feature in e-maktab helps Maktabs/Madrassahs manage over-subscribed classes fairly, clearly, and efficiently.

Each student on the waitlist receives a queue position, and the system automatically tracks improvements and sends optional notifications to parents, if enabled. 

Adjusting Queue Positions

Admins/managers can:

• Move a student up or down

• Reset the queue position

• Remove from waitlist by changing the status

When updating a student’s position:

• System recalculates remaining positions

• Parents may receive an improvement email (if enabled) only when  they student moves up in the queue.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can parents see the queue position?

A: Only if you enable parent notifications. Otherwise, queue information is internal.

Q: Can we reorder manually?

A: Yes, if enabled in your admin controls.

Q: What happens if a student is accidentally removed?

A: Re-adding them gives them a new position unless an admin manually restores it.

Q: Are waitlist and shortlist separate?

A: Yes, they are treated as completely separate queues.
