How To Cancel Stripe Direct Debit

If you would like to cancel the direct debit of a parent(s) for any reason, you can do this via e-maktab. Follow the steps below:

STEP 1: Login into the system as an admin

STEP 2: Click on People Icon > Parents

STEP 3: Select the parent(s) by clicking on the checkbox

STEP 4: On top of the page click on Batch Actions > Cancel Direct Debit

How do parent change their bank details.

In Stripe, a mandate (Direct Debit authorisation) is tied to a specific bank account.
Because of that, you cannot “edit” or update the bank details on an existing mandate.

Follow the steps above if a parent wants to change their bank details. Once the Direct Debit is cancelled they parent can sign up with a new Direct Debit or the admin can sign them up manually if they visit the office.
